So excited that SCV finally has a butcher shop that sells Australian meats--because let's be honest, my grill has been feeling neglected! We finally tried it today, and wow... Grade 5 Australian Wagyu? More like Grade A+ in my heart! That marbling was so perfect, I almost felt bad eating it. Almost. First time customer- I wanted high quality filet Minon. I bought 4 huge prime perfect thickness steaks and seasoned, smoked low til 117 then seared fast and hot, these were the beefiest, juiciest steaks I've had in recent memory. This popped up in our neighborhood and I've lived here for over 23 years and I'm so grateful about a choice of quality meat or grocery store meat . I avoid hamburger meat in the US due to growing up in Canada. (Iykyk) I'm so happy to say I got beautiful fresh ground beef yesterday and I was in heaven with my comfort food! They let me pick my roast and ground it up in front of us! Can't get any fresher than that! Highly recommend!
